South Jersey Weekend Events January 18 to 20

Just a few events happening this weekend in South Jersey:

Polar Bear Plunge at Wildwood, Convention Center, Wildwood. Saturday, January 19. Registration begins at 10 am, plunge at 1 pm. Take a plunge in the frigid Atlantic Ocean to raise money for the Special Olympics.

Cherry Hill High School East Coffee House, 1750 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill. Saturday, January 19 at 7:30 pm. Students perform to benefit adrenal cancer research. 

Watercolor SnowflakesWheatonArts, Millville. January 19 & 20 from 1 pm to 3 pm. In this easy and fun activity, we will use round coffee filters, scissors and watercolors to create unique snowflakes to decorate your home. Suggested for kids.

Scavengers, Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, Medford. Sunday, January 20 at 1:30 pm. What makes a scavenger? We’ll take a look at our different resident scavengers and see what they to survive and why they’re special.

And Beyond:

Alpine Winter Weekend, Bellview Winery, Landisville. January 26 & 27, 11 am to 5 pm. Featuring grapes that grow well in cold-weather climates including Traminette, Blaufrankish and Vidal Blanc. We will be lighting the firepit and heating a pot of Winter Spice to warm you up! $5 admission includes tasting, tours, cheese samples, parking and a souvenir glass.

SLICE or Sweet Life Institute of Culinary Education, The Sweet Life Bakery, 601 East Landis Avenue, Vineland. Join owners/chefs Stephen Wilson and Jill McClennen as they teach a diverse set of culinary classes, ranging from cake decorating to making your own pasta to homemade probiotics. No cooking knowledge is necessary and participants are encourage to have fun! Currently 9 classes available between January 31 and June 6, fees vary. February Food Swap with the South Jersey Swappers, Landis Marketplace, Vineland. Saturday, February 2 from 10 am to noon. Exchange homegrown, homemade and foraged items with other South Jersey foodies. Free to participate. Registration is required.

Mid-Winter Antiques and Collectibles Show, WheatonArts, Millville. February 2 & 3. Over 40 dealers in the Event Center. $5 admission.
