South Jersey Weekend Events January 25 to 27

Here’s a roundup of events happening this weekend in South Jersey:

Grand Opening of the California Fraction Kitchen, Garden State Discovery Museum, Cherry Hill. Friday, January 25 at 11 am. Ribbon cutting ceremony of the museum’s newest exhibit sponsored by the California Pizza Kitchen. Enjoy free pizza samples and more!

Fire & Ice Festival, Mount Holly. Saturday, January 26 from 10:30 am to 4 pm. Enjoy free family fun with over a dozen ice carvers and more than 40 chili cooks! Live entertainment, too.

Alpine Winter Weekend, Bellview Winery, Landisville. January 26 & 27 from 11 am to 5 pm. Featuring grapes that grow well in cold-weather climates including Traminette, Blaufrankish and Vidal Blanc. We will be lighting the firepit and heating a pot of Winter Spice to warm you up! $5 admission includes tasting, tours, cheese samples, parking and a souvenir glass.

Bring Your Own Glass: Winter Edition, Sharrott Winery, Blue Anchor. January 26 & 27 from noon to 6 pm. Bring your own glass to the Tasting Room this weekend to enjoy a free tasting of our award-winning wines. Enter our contest for the best winter-themed glass.

Huichol Yarn Painting, WheatonArts, Millville. Saturday, January 26 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Young artists will be guided through the process of creating paintings with yarn. Suggested for older kids and teens.

Felted Beads, WheatonArts, Millville. Sunday, January 27 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Young artists will use wool and warm, soapy water to hand roll colorful beads. Suggested for kids and teens.

Acrobats of Cirque-tacular, Landis Theater, Vineland. Sunday, January 27 at 2 pm. This show features heart-stopping, mind-boggling displays of artistry and athleticism. Tickets just $12.

And Beyond:

SLICE or Sweet Life Institute of Culinary Education, The Sweet Life Bakery, 601 East Landis Avenue, Vineland. Join owners/chefs Stephen Wilson and Jill McClennen as they teach a diverse set of culinary classes, ranging from cake decorating to making your own pasta to homemade probiotics. No cooking knowledge is necessary and participants are encourage to have fun! Currently 9 classes available between January 31 and June 6, fees vary. February Food Swap with the South Jersey Swappers, Landis Marketplace, Vineland. Saturday, February 2 from 10 am to noon. Exchange homegrown, homemade and foraged items with other South Jersey foodies. Free to participate. Registration is required.

Mid-Winter Antiques and Collectibles Show, WheatonArts, Millville. February 2 & 3. Over 40 dealers in the Event Center. $5 admission.

Wine & Chocolate Wine Trail Weekend at participating New Jersey Wineries. February 9 & 10 from noon to 5 pm. The trail features wine tastings and chocolate samplings at more than 40 wineries across the Garden State. The perfect day for you and your Valentine!
